Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.

I use browser extensions like TransOver for this purpose

(not sure if TransOver specifically is a good one, the one I use if specialized for japanese)

For actual dictionaries/translation, wordreference is the best (but does not have this functionality)

linguee is also good because it has a LOT of examples in real texts

while wordref only has 1/2 sentences per word
