Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
yes, no issue regarding pronoun choice
although be careful because it seems like you wanted the two verbs to have the same past tense ("appeared" and "filmed") but you used present tense and passé composé instead
right, "est apparu"
ahh merci!
Note: Using present for both is a possibility. French has historical present, which is used to describe past events as if they were happening, if you're narrating how a historical event happened for instance. Although you would still have to keep your tense choice coherent and not jump back and forth.
ohh ok merci
if you use il, it indeed refers to le mouvement, and it doesn't make really sense cause a movement can't film anything
but if you say ils, it refers to the persons of this movement, and now it makes sense
but actually maybe you would want to explain who ils are
Le mouvement apparaît en 1958 et [ses membres, ses représentants...] ont filmé la vie Parisienne dans le style du documentaire.
