Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
if you mean to say « wait for me », as in wait until I get there, etc, then we say attendez-moi or attends-moi.
if you say « attendez pour moi » I understand it as "you have other options available to you, such as starting now, but personally, I would like you to wait". not necessary wait for me to join, but wait because its what I want you to do -- for example wait another year before you join university. this is very rare.
the nuance is not easy to explain but my point is the correct answer is attendez-moi or attends-moi.
