Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
As question words, both mean "what" as the direct object of the verb.
"Que" comes before the verb, while "Quoi" is its informal variant and it comes after the verb.
Que fais-tu ? = Tu fais quoi ?
Same meaning, but the second one is informal.
Quoi typically comes after a verb, but not exclusively
You can just have a sentence like, « Quoi ? » where there is no verb. You could also have a sentence like, « À quoi tu penses ? ».
This mirrors the way that the pronoun "me" becomes "moi" when in certain positions
"Tu me donnes un livre" vs. "Donne-moi un livre"
