Depends on age group and social circle really, I hear it relatively often (maybe once a week) and read it in messages about that often too, as a young lad

It's one of those things that some people say automatically instead of merci and others wouldn't even remember it's existence

Yeah, I'm with Aquatic on this, it depends on the social circle, it depends on the people, it depends on the age, but otherwise it's a slang word and would only be used in a situation where it fits such colloquial language.

For example, it wouldn't be weird if my brother said it to me, even when we don't see each others for months or years.
