Please be patient

Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.

Pro tip: you can rename the thread title with `.tr <thread name>`

Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.

Literally, "je voudrais" means "I would want" and "j'aimerais" is "I would like".
They are both used to ask politely for something, even in cases where you would say "I want" in English.
They can both be used with noun groups and phrases, but in general "je voudrais" is preferred with nouns and "j'aimerais (que)" is preferred with phrases. For example:
Je voudrais une banane = I want a banana.
J'aimerais que vous veniez = I want you to come.
Of course, it's also possible to use them the other way, but it's less common.
J'aimerais une banane.
Je voudrais que veniez .
