Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.

Overall they're very similar. It might be more natural to begin a sentence with "en suite" than "puis", like "Ensuite j'ai commencé à me poser des question", but it's easier to link nouns without repeting a verb with puis "j'ai pris du thé puis des biscuits". Puis is more common and flexible, ensuite is heavier but it's good to articulate a pich or a story.
