it was a translation of an english sentence so i want to make sure

to my understanding:

• "depuis que" means "ever since", referring to time
• "puisque" means "since" in the sense of "because"

but i was this sentence so i was wandering

If that's the whole thing, then the sentence is incomplete as written

if you changed it to puisque, it does seem to make sense right away

maybe whoever wrote it mixed them up, they're not interchangeable
