Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
also adding onto this in the phrase:
Sarah et Yvonne se sont téléphoné à dix heures.
how come its not Sarah et Yvonne se sont telephonees a dix heures?
Celle que j’ai achetée ==> yes it’s a direct object, hence the past participle must agree with it.
Elles se sont téléphoné ==> “se” is the indirect object here, so no agreement.
The verb “téléphoner” takes an indirect object: for example we say “Marie téléphone à Stéphanie”. Not “Marie téléphone Stéphanie”.
Marie a appelé Sophie ==> Elles se sont appelées
Marie a téléphoné à Sophie ==> Elles se sont téléphoné
Merci beaucoup.
Why is Je lui ferai parvenir like this and not Je ferai lui parvenir, I thought there was a rule where IDOP precedes the infinitive if there is one
