Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
like i get the meaning of the sentence
i dont get the grammer
specifaclly the ce que
maybe je me réjouis de qu'il y ait un marin
would make sense for me
On se réjouit de quelque chose.
When this quelque chose is a complete clause, you have to insert ce que.
Ce acts as a noun because you need to nominalize said clause.
yeh this was very similar to a question i asked months ago in fact which has the same logic
i didnt realise it was the same concept
thank you
It's a formal construction indeed :)
