Please be patient

Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.

Pro tip: you can rename the thread title with `.tr <thread name>`

Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.

Yes:

What is it that is so famous/what's so famous about it?

I happen to know that song and the translation – I assume it's automatic – is actually wrong. The original line in Middle High German is: « daz hêre lant und ouch die erde, der man vil der êren gihet (the noble land, and also that earth to which so much honour is given) ». In that case, the better translation would be « La Terre Sainte et aussi la Terre, à laquelle l'on rend tant d'honneur ».

It has some other translations and I did find one: « Ce pays, la Terre si pure et si sainte, qui est tant admiré par les Hommes. (This land, this so pure and holy Land, which is so admired by men.) »

Given that is the text in Middle High German, which I can understand, I fully agree.
