Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
Speak to natives
Text in French if you can
to people and try and use the word you learn
If you want to acquire vocab as fast as possible, you can drill the anki deck of most common words
Otherwise, graded readers are really helpful t learn things in context
With regards to using it, I recommend establishing a daily practice of production (writing or speaking) 🙂 Like you can write a paragraph or two everyday on r/writestreak
