Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
hmmm bonhomme is sort of a fixed expression
it can be part of "bonhomme de neige" 'snowman' or used to describe a young boy in a friendly way, like "young chap" or something
"homme bon" isn't really used much, I guess but it would literally mean "a good man"
"un homme bien" is a good guy
a nice guy
un homme qui est bon vs un homme qui est bien?
i saw in tintin that tintin was talking to a king and he said vous êtes bon
is vous êtes bien wrong?
if you're using "bon" typically you're describing a thing someone is good at
je suis bon en maths
il est bon en géo
in older texts, I think you could come across "bon" just being used for "good" as in a "good person" but that's not common today
thanks mate
