Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
Most IT vocab is kept in English but maybe pronounced the French-ish way
If you want to work in a French environment (i.e. not an English-medium job in France) then focus on getting your general French up to high B2
openclassrooms is classic for learning coding related stuff, though it's more full lessons rather than strictly vocab
but they use the french terms
I think my point is that it's generally unnecessary to use the French terms, even French students at university prefer to use the English equivalents as the lingua franca of tech is English
Still good to know them as they do come up
Maybe not all of them, but especially ones that are close to English I think I'd say?
My biggest concern is the ability to comprehend and understand french in the workplace honestly. I get that the US is tech salary mecca (and I am taking advantage and saving accordingly). This is likely to be a multi year project fir me
But I’m willing to take a lower salary for a better life
Most of the tech jobs are in Paris which depending on your opinion is either a pro or a con, but that also means CoL is even more elevated wrt the salary

It's not just salary btw it's also choice of job (it's not like there're the same opportunities just lesser paid)
