Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
It works like other uses of connaître: when it's knowing of more than knowing that.
Je connais la France. J'en ai entendu parler.
I know (of) France. I've heard it being spoken about.
Je sais que la France est un pays d'Europe.
I know that France is a country in Europe.
"je connaîs la france" would be taken more metaphorically, as in "je connaîs la france (et par extension les français, la cuisine française, la culture, l'architecture, la géographie...)"

Connaître + direct object
Savoir + subordinate clause or infinitive clause
