Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.

it is used moreso as "Actually" in english
"C'est vrai en fait" - It's true actually (in fact)
"En fait, je suis pas contente avec ça" Actually (infact) I am not happy about that
En truc is probably just misheard "un truc"
So "un truc" is a thing

If it's used in similar contexts to "en fait" it's probably "one thing"
