Please be patient

Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.

Pro tip: you can rename the thread title with `.tr <thread name>`

Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.

Give us some context.

I think the usage of "wesh" is extremely hard to pinpoint in french because it means lots of different things. It could be a way to say hello, an interjection to reach out to something or to express being irritated. It could even be used as a noun to qualify someone as a scummy thug.
For the most part, people entirely stop to use it once they reach adulthood.

Kiffer in the other hand is now widely accepted within the french lexicon as a synonym of "aimer" but with more emphasis on it, it's like "vraiment adorer" I suppose.

I'm looking for context over anything else for the use of it as a whole (those were just examples).

I have no context :,)

What does "wsh" or "wesh" mean?

For starters, "wsh" is just "wesh" shortened. "wesh" is a word loaned from Arabic that made its way into the French language quite some time ago. The meaning is not the same anymore, so some Arabic speakers can be thrown off by how French people use it. In French, "wesh" is just used like "yo" in English. It can be a greeting, an exclamation, a filler word... It might take you some time to grasp how to correctly use it, but if you know how to use "yo" in English, it should be easier for you to use "wesh" or "wsh" in French. Oh, and of course, it is very much informal.

In general they are used very informally, but without much discrimination in France
