Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
Both are correct.
Le café is countable, it's a cup of coffee.
Du café is uncountable, it's some coffee
With the idea of it being a repetition, a habit. The uncountable version is more natural, unless it's with someone, and most of the time, you'll prefer an indefinite article over a definite one.
prendre le café is more like about the activity around it, like a break or something. But if you were to say Je vais boire le café to someone, he wouldn't find it weird.
