Please be patient

Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.

Pro tip: you can rename the thread title with `.tr <thread name>`

Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.

What is fougueux in this context?

#

Why is google translate saying "fiery"

Give us more context, usually fougueux means being energized, fiery is also a good synonym to that.

#

Without more context, it's impossible to know for sure what the writer meant.

Well its a love song

See, it adds a lot, fougueux is to add the rhyme with "tu veux", so it is not the most accurate use of the word, and funnily enough it's completely the opposite of the rest of the context "vieux fougueux" to me would be closer to the idea of "two old people very much alive" <== and probably more than that if you know what I mean.

My guess is that "se retrouver comme de vieux fougueux" would be like if they split up, instead of settling, they would live a life where they would always be on the move, never guaranteed of whats the next day made of, something like that.

Ah I see, thanks! How fascinating

#

Do you think thats could also be translated as lovers?

#

Cuz thats what im thinking its saying, like two people meeting again and they used to be fiery and young lol

Or perhaps, perhaps "se retrouver comme" would mean that they would eventually reunify and become some sort of happy going old people with lots of energy.

not the first idea that would come to mind, but it is possible to understand it that way by subjection.
