Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
most nouns starting with H are an "h muet" - aspirated are generally foreign words (essentially, where it would've been historically pronounced)
but more or less just learn what ones are aspiré, there isn't really another way to know
Ohh, so most of the time I have to use "cet" + noun with an h... "male " ones that is
it really is just a question of memorization, unfortunately
while there are probably more 'h muet' than 'h aspiré' in French, a lot of common h words have an 'h aspiré'
hamburger
hockey
haut
haricot
etc.
