Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
It's just a synonym for cercueil. The word originally referred to the stretcher to transport a corpse.
There is a step called mise en bière where the corpse is put in a coffin before the box is sealed and taken to the hearse.
It's called bier in English (which is also homophonous with beer)
