Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
Everyone has a different rhythm of speech and it's expected of language learners to not have particularly fast speech. That said, long pauses or "uhhms" can certainly lead to points deductions on langauge examinations. Essentially you want any pauses you make to be related to thinking about what you want to say, not how you need to say it.
