For one, « mosaïque » is a noun. We say, « sol en pierre », not « sol pierre ».

« mosaïque » as an adjective usually refers to Mosaic, as in, related to Moses like « la loi mosaïque (the Mosaic law) »

or say if someone got back from work and said "ah home" how to say that in french then?

"home" is very hard to translate into French, there's no one-for-one

my home / my house - ma maison

at home - chez moi (or « chez nous » if you're talking about where you live with others, or some people in Québec use it for every situation)

finally home - enfin chez moi / enfin à la maison

it's home (as in "it is my home") - c'est ma maison / c'est mon chez-moi (different feeling, « un chez-soi » is more of a cozy/safe place to live imo)

it's home (as in "it is at home") - il/elle est chez moi (referring to an object, but it can also be the translation for someone being at your place)
