No, just a general grammar thing.
For avoir verbs, when a direct object is placed before the verb in passé composé (or any other compound tense), the past participle agrees with the noun in gender and number.
Des progrès is masculine plural and is placed before the verb so the past participle of faire will be in that form: faits.
