well google translate is really misleading
deepl would be better for that
google translate is not a ressource for language learning
but translators in general are not very reliable in checking what something means
deepl would probably get it right, but it's not good for language learning either
it's just giving you the most probable output for a given input and understands nothing about how the language works
just check deepl which is also wrong

I think the translation is because english is a bit more ambiguous as to what direction the "to" goes
the other translations are clearer about the direction
I still wouldn't suggest that as the first translation, but it's not incorrect per se
e.g. "introducing my husband to my dog" could very well be showing the dog to the husband
or "introducing someone to a new environment"
etc
