It's always forbidden after verbs

Except for things where a euphonic T or S can be added

« Mange-t-il / Mangeait-il » (both pronounced with [t])

« Vas-y / Manges-en » (both pronounced with [z], and both wouldn't have an S if they didn't also have « -y » or « -en »)

Now that I think about it, maybe it's allowed after the 3rd person singular (« il allait‿à l'école »), but it's getting a bit late so I won't look into it, feel free to do so tho!
