Pro tip: you can rename the thread title with `.tr <thread name>`
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
It's a tad on the casual side of neutral, but it's the quickest way to say it so it's probably the most common way, especially orally 
It's pretty common to precede it with a greeting, and adding "comment" can make it a bit more clear that you're genuinely asking (ça va can also be used for "you good?" if someone seems hurt or sad or something for example)
