Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.

If you said prendre it wouldn’t make sense, it would directly translate to “if you go out to take your umbrella”

prendre = to take

so for example je vais prendre ( i am going to take )

Also it would be more clear to you if the app used an apostrophe. “Si vous sortez, prenez votre parapluie”

And finally, it is giving an order, which is the tense “impératif” . I would suggest looking into this tense!
