Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
I'm french but not really good with rules. But I'm gonna try to help according to how we use these 3 words.
Puis and ensuite are pretty much the same , they mean "then" ( but 99% of the time we use ensuite when speaking )
Alors have many meaning with slight differences , we usually use it to talk about the last action someone is doing , the "dénouement".
For example (we never talk like that , its mostly in books) : Paul se fit tirer dessus , alors il tomba au sol et mourut .
But alors can be use in more natural ways , for example like "so" in " So , what did you do last week? " = " Alors , t'as fais quoi la semaine dernière?"
or "Then , why did he do that ?" = " Alors , pourquoi il a fait ça ?
I hope it was clear , it's kinda hard to remember every uses of a word we've never questioned lol
