Hey guys, i brought this up back when UBI was increased and I would like to bring it up again. With the increase of UBI, Min-Wage should also increase. 20-30-40 would be based on the assumed ubi of 25. Now with 30 we could increase it to 24-36-48 (20% increase) or just do 30-40-50 to keep it simple. Thoughts?

Min wage is meant to pay the person a fair wage while also making it so others cant abuse their labor over buying off the market. Being worth it or not should have no connection here.

Why the hurry?

My concern is that in some cases work parties are helpful (ie making seeds).

Because the sooner the changes go in, the sooner people can settle on the new min wage. Waiting weeks discussing what ifs for market trends when the minimal wage doesn’t care what is being sold, all it cares about is is the person doing the labor is fairly compensated. Right now, with the increase of UBI, the min wage wage puts less of a value on the labor. This needs to increase to reflect the passive income everyone gets.

I am sorry, but I must vote no. I don't like people doing stuff like WP furniture but this would even affect legit vital WP (early game seed WP)

Ok, so with 4 Yeas and 1 Nays, this should be passing. @errant tinsel The house has voted in favor of changing the minimal wage from 20/30/40 to 30/40/50 for weeks 1/2/3+.

I understand PandaDono's argument in regards of helpfulness. But on the other side workparties are too powerful and most times definitly underpaid. I always (when I do, I am not a fan of workparties on WT) pay more than the min wage. This is because I, as someone who creates the workparty, do not only get the stuff for cheaper than market value, also I don't have to compete with other people on the free market products. So raising it according to the raise of universal basic income is in my eyes the least we should do here.

If it was me I would go more extreme here in order to get a more powerful market situation and collaboration between citizens. => Instead of asking for a workparty one should ask the laboring citizen to craft the items and put them up for sale in their store - there is clearly a demand on the market for this item.
