I do not have an issue with the debt. I accept it.
I mention its source when angry constituents ask why we must do this.
I believe in good governance and running a government to the will of the people.
I therefor propose and request a referendum to the people if the entirety of the debt from the previous season be paid in its entirety in a single cycle or if it should be spread out in installments over multiple seasons. I am fine with doing it in one cycle, but I am responding to the things I hear the people asking and saying.
#I would like to propose a referendum

that's a dennis thing - not the house
I am seeking the advice of the MPs in determining if we should bring this to Dennis or not.
As we can issue our own bonds at the PM's discretion in the limits set out in the constitution to refinance the debt as we see fit - I don't see this as a problem - so therefore am opposed
I agree with carrying the debt forward, and do not have an issue with it.
so there is already a mechnism for refinancing the debt to the future with bonds?
A bond is a financial instrument issued by the government to the citizens wherein the citizens give the government money for a guaranteed return on their investment. Bonds are debt the government incurs to it's citizens (i.e. a reverse loan)
I will take this under advisement and consider the ramifications, thank you for your input
i see the debt as a replacement of other possible win conditions. even though it might be something trivial for more expert gov players, it's probably cheaper than other win conditions.
