Federal laws require that the owner of a property is compensated for the property being taken. For any unclaim request, whether it be a 3 day tent claim or 7 day abandoned, there must be a realistically fulfillable use for the land. A private citizen can request a piece of land they would like so long as the abandonment requirements are met. A public entity (town, state, or federation) must exhaust all other alternatives when planning a project, such as alternative locations. Zones and laws should be used to prevent players from claiming in an area where a project is planned, otherwise it cannot be considered protected from normal claiming. I can also help with suggesting alternatives as needed.

For an expedient approval process, I require the following information for each request:

  1. Whether you are buying it as a private citizen or public entity.
  2. What use you have for the land.
  3. Whether the land is a homestead stake or the stake of a town, state or federation.
  4. Screenshot of the owner's offline time (multiple for companies, one for each member).
  5. Screenshots of the property for determining value of the property.

If it is a homestead stake, you will need to have your own claim stake and paper ready or be prepared to clean up the property in its entirety. We cannot just unclaim a property and leave everything on it as a free for all to grab.

Here are the applicable laws and some guidelines.
Constitution S2.3: "1Private property shall be guaranteed, but it entails obligations and its use shall also serve the public good. 2Expropriation is only permissible for the public good and in conjunction with equitable compensation."

Federal Law III S3: "Ownership rights may be affected compulsorily only by a competent authority to either enforce a court order or by issuance of an administrative act for the purpose of

  1. expropriating real estate whose owner was last present at least three days ago and did not progress further than placing a starter tent and / or building a very basic hut that can reasonably be assumed to have been built during the tutorial.

  2. expropriating real estate that is requested to be procured to a realistically fulfillable new use based on its location by any private entity and whose owner is a member of the demographic “Abandoned” but not a member of the title “Vacation” and which does not contain buildings that must reasonably be considered worth preserving due to aesthetics, development or similar reasons.

4.expropriating real estate that is to be procured to a new use serving the public good by a public entity - requiring compensation of its owner with the value of the affected land claims and all costs caused by a move of the full real estate as it is."

yes ramps are already involved with a inconvenient way. the way goes to the left side ramp, because one more ramp goes already into the abandoned claim. Now with Steam Trucks and Steam tractors the current road is not possible to drive

Someone has to pay for it. If you read the laws pinned at the start of the thread, you'll see that people need compensation for property to be removed. If you don't want to lay for it, youll have to convince a local government to pay for it because I doubt the feds will

It could go through the red line, but that's just 3 wide and it's a bit narrow for manouvering.
It could go around it, but we'd still probably need the pink claim narrowed by 1 so it can be wide enough for 2 way traffic comfortably.

Hello, the claim in the screenshot is the homestead of Skorpze (last online 7d 16h). Looking to claim the land/building to turn into my house for a housing bonus as my property is kitty corner to this one where my mine is and very minimal house bonus. There are some stone roads in the stockpiles that I would like to use/donate to Twin River City to help with the roads, as well as some dirt ramps I can use in my mine underneath my store and some wood carts. I would also like to remove the wood cart that is blocking the road (owned by Skorpze).

Requesting unclaiming of abandoned plot as a private citizen, i need it for more stockpile space and to move generators a little further away from my farmer neighbour. Homestead of Marcellosto who has been offline for nearly 10 days. It contains a vol 36 hewn hut with nothing in it, workbench, campsite and empty stockpile which is 2/3rds inside my plot already.   2. Revitilize the building. It is in the heart of the city yet it visibly displays stockpiles of garbage and rotting food. Only the front side is made to look good and the other directions are an eyesore. The vehicles around it are abandoned and block the roads.

Requesting an unclaim of this property. Owner is abandoned - 7d 22h. Homestead with the normal 16 claims. Giant gaping hole, plus some stockpiles full of rocks and clay. A lot of the rocks/crushed/dirt is more work to haul than its worth, so the clay is probably the only thing of value, maybe a few hundred euros of value altogether. Would like to build gas station here.

  • on compensation ... it is a day 2 property = a small hewn log shad of a campfire cook on level 2, so it is probably alot of spoiled food in his stockpile ... not much to compensate for i guess
  • on use ... I just want to build a nice looking house ... no serious business operation in mind ... just building for the sake of builing something nice
