#Vote abstention fine

As voting is important I like the idea behind. Nevertheless thats against the policy that someone can play isolated on WT without being touched from gov stuff.
I dont like that rule and would like to see it removed but I think we cant do stuff like that within current wt framework, can we?
I doubt that is disproportionally impairing a minority.
But I just saw this is actual congress, so sorry for posting, I'm out - lol.
I'd be more inclined to do this if we had more candidates to choose from than needed to fill the spots. Why fine people for not voting if their vote doesn't change the outcome?
Compulsory voting, also called universal civic duty voting or mandatory voting, is the requirement that registered voters participate in an election. In practice, one only needs to check-in at a polling place, submit a blank ballot, or provide an excused reason, such as disability, illness, age, travel, a natural disaster, or religious objection...
All arguments there lol
So, is this coming? Sounds nice lol
