The title is pretty much self explanatory, but by the time you have affordable lumber to actually make theses tools, we are way past making dirt roads, making this tool really useless. You are better off just using the stone ones. Its the only iron tool that requires lumber so it feels like its not even meant to be this way.

No hi jacking the thread, but there are a few more items to look at also, like why does a backpack require industry? Its a backpack not an exoskeleton
I think you could also look at maybe limiting the small canoe to just personal transport and maybe increasing the movement speed on it slightly, so the two canoes get more of a unique feel to them

because its the best one and should come the latest in the game, otherwise the other backpacks are useless

I do agree it should come in later, but at the time of industry the need to pack 5 more kg will only be a must for a few people. Having options is a good thing, but while is the best its not useful enough this late in the game
