Highway worker is not going to be assigned until we have determined the rules and layout for roads, and hopefully we will get road laws up for payment too

Okay, we now have federal highways better figured out, and road law passed for payments. Anyone who wants the title must agree to the following conditions:

1. You will build the roads in accordance with all Constitutional and Federal Laws
2. You will build a maximum of 6 stone roads in width during this first phase of our road building process
3. You will not build over any oceans until the next phase of our road building process
4. You will not build floating roads
5. All roads will be built at height 70 (this height will be adjusted for the federal bridges, more on that later)

Anyone who has already posted in this thread will need to re-request for the title, this time agreeing to the terms and conditions. Anyone who breaks these terms and conditions is subject to lose their road worker priviliges for the cycle.

also question: "Build at height 70" means that, when standing on the road surface, the co-ordinates say 70, right?

if you are standing it says 71, if you are targeting the block it says 70

The law will prevent you if you get it wrong

1Infrastructure needs to be built realistically compared to its real-life counterparts. 2Roads must have an unobstructed minimum roadway height and width of five blocks, should avoid changes in height level over their course as long as that is aesthetically and realistically possible and shouldn’t be built below height 70 for the purpose of flood protection. 3Federal Highways and State Routes additionally must fit symmetrically into an even number of claims. 4All roads of a type should have a unified design in their region, determined by the managing authority. 5Tunnels must have a ceiling and wall coating while bridges are required to have realistic safety and support structures.

Ive got a connundrum for federal highway at (1450, 800) as there is a river that runs through the highway as it is at height 71. Options would be to run a ramp up over to allow boats, run through the river and block sides to stop flooding, run it just over the river but would not allow boats.

I'm looking at removing the law restriction for building at level 70 so that ramps can be built for waterways and approved bridges. This does not mean anyone can build whatever height they want, all roads should still be built at level 70 unless there is a waterway that makes this not possible

If you are frustrated with people that get elected but don't put in any time into their gov positions, I'm probably the last person you should be upset at, as I have written more laws than anyone else, besides all of the other gov related tasks. You are free to run for gov yourself though and do a better job than me

@lone blade Could we modify the law regarding asphalt road payment from 3 to 4 Euro?
With ore price being inflated, the cost of replacing iron /steel shovel and hammer is higher than usual. More road workers would be dedicated and motivated at paving roads where the current dirt or stone roads need to be replaced.

why is this highway being raised above 70? (north of unica, after the bridge)

Bridges have to be 10 or so above sealevel to account for the tallest boat

the amount is 10 or 12, not 100% sure on the number but thats why

I think its because of the river below to enable shipping on that but thats no official call and that height seems to be random. @fringe prawn is there a official call and if not would be good to have one I guess.

“Waterways”, which are all bodies of water within the biomes “ocean” and “deep ocean”. They are managed by the federal government.

From my reading of these passages of Federal Law, you don't need height clearance on naturally occurring rivers, unless otherwise designated by the Feds

But you do need the height clearance on oceans or man made canals
