#Glass with a 35food subtotal makes it completely uncompetitive

Bricks this cycle will probably be the only viable T2 building block in this run until the food crisis is resolved.

Pottery I believe uses the 25 sub-total, therefore the labour cost will be significantly lower with cheaper food.

Lumber is already going to be uncompetitive with Brick, oil change is going to be a challenge, but glass is already at a significant disadvantage to pottery, with a more expensive and much larger crafting station, and the modern geo papers for brick being made on the research table, whilst glass is on the laboratory.

Recommend change, reduce the sub-total requirement to 25. Glass is still a small part of the market, and advanced smelting / mechanics will use a lot of T2 food anyway.

If anything brick should be higher requirements. Bricks always dirt cheap

Brick is incredibly dirt cheat compared to other Tier 2 that it is completely out of balance.

#

Crushed shale should definitely be a default part of the recipe instead of just clay and mortar.

I was hoping 10.0 would put bricks more in line with lumber and glass

Bricks are definitely too cheap. Lumber had a big hit. Glass in my opinion is just hindered by a number of things that make it worse than brick.

Glass is bought solely for the novelty and cosmetic use normally.

Huh what actually changed

#

We didn't move any brick or glass or whatever

#

The graph still works there

#

So... Recipe issue?

#

Or no issue actually? 😇

glossy merlin
#

i think the issue is partially recipe issue, partially that its the only t2 material requiring t2 food bonus, the others only require t1 food

And T2 food will now be much more difficult to get, and much later in the progression. It makes glass uncompetitive against bricks

#

Huh, interesting

#

But glass is also t4

#

But carpentry too

#

That change to carpentry food really broke it lol

#

Hmmmm

Possible to make it if world age < 15, 25 subtotal req, if > 15, 35 req?

#

Makes it viable early game but still the boosted req for late game

#

But also masonry is t3 and isn't that just always doable for them now?

radiant flare
#

Then I rather do it by recipe

#

Than by speciality

We'll get cracking then 😛

Masonry right now as a T3 block, using campfire food
