There should be some form of sign up process for religions if this is going to be a thing. If there is not, and it is a setup for a premade religion, with tax/law immunity, that is basically just a theocracy.

There should not be a souped up company that has sole rights to be able to not be taxed on things they sell on their land and have overarching/overbearing protections to which require executive action to start a lawsuit.

I suggest one of four things.

Allow the splitting of Sects from the Otter Religion, to then freely adjust the religious texts/teachings to form their own ideology AND keep the protections as claimed in the original Religion, as a Sect is not a separate religious entity and may adopt the terms under which the original religion was given legal status under cps-004/CG-019 in Canada

Or

Just allow the registration of Religions, to which can gain the same levels of leniency as the one as the incorporated religion

Or

Require that religions operate as a Non-profit Charity to which the Church cannot make above a 0% profit margin on a YoY basis (meaning you can go slightly over as long as there is no pattern/thing to suggest its doing it on purpose), and that they are not granted Legal Protections, or at least dont prevent suits against said churches when they are the aggressor in the said lawsuit (Their action or lack of caused someone else harm)

Or

Have religions just be Fancy Companies that operate just the same, but decide to tithe their followers (to which should be untaxed as its a gift of charity)

@fading leaf , you have to remember that this is the victory reward for last cycle, so is only a 1 cycle thing. Lots of great religious buildings, monuments, a fantastic monastery was made and enough people did a hourly tithe to the church of the otter to get the victory.

A religion is granted tax free status when they agree to operate at a low to zero profit margin and relieve the suffering in some way. Be it food banking shelter or some other form of benefit for thr rest

The victory reward was a state-religion and it only lasts a single cycle, so this works as intended.

As for religions and exemptions in general that is the government's thing, not mine. The constitution does already protect faith and what you interpret into that is up to your SC.
