To summarize, I wanted to advance research by selling 100 research papers, but did this solo, buying all iron bars and producing the papers, whilst being in a company. Because of this, my tax rate was 45% (6 skills, of which 1 used) resulting in the whole ordeal costing me 800 pounds + all food lost in doing so (approx. 500-800 pounds ?).
So companies will rarely (if ever) make a profit doing research
Please, please, move research to facilitate incentive to actually do research and at least make it break even for companies.
And I hope there is a law that could dull the pain of this experience.
If a solo player can make profit off of research, why should it cost money for companies to do? No but really, what's the real benefit of a company if the gains do not outweigh the downsides. To me personally, taxes are way to high.
A solo player can produce a tonn of iron bars and sell for 3.5, but a company has to sell for 5.10 to gain the same. In the meantime, law states that one can not undercut too much from median price of an item.
To me, the tax rate of a company is too high in such a way that these laws contradict themselves.
Thank you for reading and hopefully, this is enough to make a change.
