DCCord TotW 230827 - What Alternate Careers Would Dreamcatcher Members Have Pursued?

This week's topic goes into alternate universe territory. There have been stories here and there told by Dreamcatcher members of what they would have done if they didn't get into being a K-Pop idol. Yoohyeon said she might have been a stewardess, Handong was studying in South Korea before deciding to audition, and more. As strange as it might seem to envision Dreamcatcher members in another line of work, what do you think they might have gotten into otherwise? Let your fellow community members know!

Gahyeon I could of seen doing cheer or fandom related activities for a baseball team. Not entirely sure what’d it would entail but her love of baseball is hard to argue

Jiu - banker. can be calm and professional, can see her nailing powerpoint presentations in the corporate world.

Sua - film stuntwoman, motivation speaker. Ball of energy and uses her physical abilities.

Siyeon - church leader

Handong - something in sales possibly. like clothing in China

Yoohyeon - social media strageist for Apple Kr. (she loves apple products). Her studious quality really can lend her in any field. Even in a field where they do 'the science'.

Dami - zoo keeper 🐼

Gahyeon has mentioned wanting to do acting before so im sure she would succeed there. Jiu mentioned being a cop but I think the bakery/Cafe i recall reading would be more her speed and likely what she chose. But thats a guess based off what we know now, so it could change easily.

Based on the 60 seconds I got to spend sitting across from her, I feel like JiU could be a great therapist. She's genuinely interested in other people and seems to know exactly what to look for in order to understand them. As a therapist JiU could spend her days listening to people and helping them to try to evolve into happy rabbits. Conversely, I think she would make a very talented con artist.

that's a good one; there was an interview while back where they had kpop singers meet a parent of their fan, where the parent interviews the kpop star. JiU did one and she gave off that vibes too. She was very accommodating to the mom of the insomnia.

was a strange dynamic which could become awkward; the Mom, was saying at first she didn't understand why the son had dreamcatcher magnets on the fridge (or something like that). Just parents trying to understand 'fandom', but Jiu made the situation less awkward indeed.

Jiu : I feel like she has the appropriate patience and care to be a kindergarten teacher or something like that and I'm sure she would be loved by children.

Sua : Seriously this woman has proved that she could do anything at this point. However the best options would be choreographer or dance teacher and then there's acting. I remember there was this drama parody the girls did and despited it being all comical and stuff I was impressed by her acting. Since then I'm dying to see her get into it. Then I'm thinking her energy would make her a pretty fun MC as well.

Siyeon : I won't ever stop sayig this : She would make the best frontwoman of a rock band ! She has not only THE VOICE but THE LOOKS as well ! Also whenever deukae are wearing punk, rock or emo or whatever you wanna call it kind of like outfits they all look amazing in them but Siyeon... It feels like she's in her element. Anyway you probably get what I mean.

However if she was to do something except of singing I think she could be a voice actress. Don't ask me how did this came up to me, I don't even know at all, I just feel like it would suit her for some reason.

Yoohyeon : Ok things here are pretty easy. It's either a streamer for the obvious reasons or a model. Seriously tho she would slay as a model. There was this pic I found the other day on pinterest, it was Yooh in runway show I think and in the beggining I couldn't recognize her but she looked stunning. I was shocked, I didn't know she participated in a runway show in the past but it looked cool.

Now as for Dami and Gahyeon. Dami could be a music producer or song writer cause she has a great talent in this proved so many times by the songs she has wrote or produced for DC. However any job that would allow her to work alone and in peace and quite would suit her due to her quiet personality. On the other side I can't think anything else for Gahyeon except acting so she could put those amazing facial expressions in use. Unfortunately tho I can't think anything for Handong. Maybe modeling I guess ??
