I'm wearing DC merch and I mentioned I was attending a concert, and she pressed me on who was performing. Turns out she didn't know they were coming. So I did the VIP thing for last tour, but it didn't have a soundcheck. Instead it had a group photo. They had us check-in pretty early, but we didn't actually go into the venue. I just checked in, then went to a cafe for a bit, and came back when the actual concert started. I'm not sure if things will be different considering there is a soundcheck this time, but my guess is you won't be trapped in the venue.
But it's also possible you're trapped. I remember the first time I did VIP (for Twice) we were stuck in the venue, but not at our seats, for like 2 hours.
