Twice every month, we host collaborative listening parties (LPs) where anyone can submit a song of their choosing that fits that LPs theme. Once the submissions are collected and the date/time arrives, the LP is shared via Spotify and Youtube playlist, and we listen through it together. The overall process for each LP is as follows:
1. Announcement: Approximately one week prior to the event time, the next LP date/time, theme, and submission link is posted here in the listening party forum. This will be accompanied by a ping of everyone with the <@&736344500263452743> role in #announcements, so if you don't want to miss the it, get yourself that role in #rules-faq.
2. Submission period: Everyone will have a week to submit their song via the provided Google form. Along with your username and song choice, we ask that you provide a Spotify and Youtube link as well as an optional comment on why you chose that song. Submissions will close one hour before the scheduled LP time.
3. Listening party time time! At the designated time on the designated day, the LP will begin in a thread in this forum. Everyone can listen and jam out and chat about the songs together. A Spotify listening party link will be provided so that we can listen in sync with each other, along with links to Spotify and Youtube playlists. As we cycle through each song, the user who chose that song will be posted along with any commentary they may have provided.
