How I think megas should work:
Get the 200 energy now but mega evolution only lasts 1hour, HOWEVER the countdown ONLY decreases when its used in raids or battles. If its in your inventory doing nothing, the timer DOESNT decrease. This way you can keep your mega Pokémon that you earned but still have a fair limit
