For those asking, yes we can hold shinies when on cooldown. No, it won't change and it will still be shiny. Tried and tested by yours truly. (This refers to ticket holders. For non-ticket holders, it seems holding a shiny starter with hat after biome changes will still retain its shiny form just not with the pika hat.)
