i found that most rank 9 battles are down to the very last bit of the end game. who stored enough energy and where they used it wisely will get the wins. all these fights are also critical emphasis on the 'excellent' bonus for damage, resulting in losses.

i can't get the fighting 'excellent' consistently enough and usually the losses are down to 1 - 5 hp remaining on last few standoffs.
