It honestly wouldn't surprise me if when they went to change the boosted damage to be permanent they accidentally messed with the shiny rate too.

Also if it was intentional it wouldn't surprise me either. At this point it's easier to ask what they haven't screwed up yet

Yeah but sometimes you can find a few number of this non nesting species at some locations

They will just be random spawns not guaranteed to appear regularly. Use livemaps and filter for them is the best bet
