I am open to different rules but want to play campaigns in order (unless we want to start with a profession that is only available in factions or nightfall) and without outside help. No use of bank or clear out bank before we start, have to farm what we need. Etc. basically simulating a fresh start.

Link in my bio to an example of what I did with my warrior to give people a better idea of what I’m looking for if they’ve not heard of this before but are interested.

They might seem stupid, but ive never done an Ironman Playthrough before, so just asking for clarification.Would we be starting a completely new character? When you mean all quests, do you mean all the side quests? I would be for that actually, since I love doing all the random quests. Just DM me and we can hash out the details on schedule and times if your still looking

Happy to group with more than one. It may get tricky to line up playtimes but we could create a discord server to communicate and just always help catch up whoever is behind.

I’ll be flexible with the rules, we can come up with them as a group. The non-negotiables to consider it “iron man” is that it’s a fresh playthrough:

  1. Fresh Start: This can be a fresh account (ideal), same account but don’t touch storage, same account and can use storage but move everything out of storage to a mule. I created a fresh account for all ironman characters and now it's all I play on these days.
  2. Skills: If it is not a fresh account, keep in mind you should not use skills until you get to the point of the game they are unlocked. Skills that are unlocked on the account will be available at the skill trader earlier than normal and you must wait until they would be available to a fresh account.
  3. Trading/Players: You also cannot trade or party with non-ironman players and you cannot use hero’s until you unlock them. Generally Ironman starting prophecies and does campaigns in order, but I’m ok with starting in a different campaign if someone is dead set on a class that only starts there. Otherwise.. It’ll be us and henchman until Nightfall. This simulates a classic fresh start.
  4. Items: no /bonus items. Further details on item based rules below.

Rules to decide on:

  1. All missions / bonus / side quests completed on the way. Some people even fully map each zone on the way.
  2. Some people opt to not allow use of certain traders, especially runes or even weapons and rely on drops only. This leads to some extra farming along the way. Generally armor traders are allowed.
  3. Can even go as extreme as no use of material traders. Must farm the materials needed ourselves.

Additional Details:

  1. Many people opt to put “iron” in their name, but this is not required.
  2. We have an iron man guild which could be good especially if you create an ironman only second account

Yeah I would be game to do this. Just a few more additional questions from me though.

If there a way to tell if a skill that should not be used yet but is available at the skill trader?

Since I would rather play on the same account, I would just have to put all my storage stuff on a mule character

Ill get a new account if I need to, if there is no way to tell if a skill is unlocked early.

I was hoping to make a paragon or dervish, since i've never made one before and they looked fun. However, since were starting in prophecies I will make either a warrior, necro, or mesmer

For my ele run, I had to wait for Maguuma Stade for chain lightning, even tho it was tempting seeing it at every trainer 😂

You don’t HAVE to make a second account. In fact, it’s good not to if you want to progress titles like faction, lucky/unlucky, etc. but starting a fresh account does make the bank situation and skill trainer easier. It’s totally your preference. I started fresh when I came back to the game last year because I wanted to do Ironman and I couldn’t figure out my old account.

Prophecies start is typical for Ironman but I’m not dead set on it. I just want to find some likeminded completionists and play through everything.

I’d be happy to do a prophecies start or I’m also interested in an assassin. We could do a split start on noob islands and then meet on nightfall mainland, do that campaign first then factions, prophecies, eotn

We started a run and are level 10 at Fort ranik so we just catching people up. Its a new player friend so we aren't iron Manning to a T

I feel like 3 is a good number (though more is fun too), 3 just lets us farm stuff pretty well limiting how many (if any) hero’s we need in group.

I’m just being optimistic I’m happy to have as many join as would like. But when it comes to farming something specific we’d likely split into 2-3 person team anyway. Like exto/shard farming comes to mind if we want obsidian armor on our Ironman characters
