a few days ago was the CitizenCon. A big in-person event about SC and SQ42. They showed off some absolutely stunning tech.
Anyone interested in great spacegames/mmo-tech/game-dev should really take a look at this:
We are excited to announce that Squadron 42 is now feature-complete!
As we move into the polishing phase, weβre fully focused on optimizing and fine-tuning all aspects of the gameplay experience to deliver an unprecedented cinematic adventure. To celebrate this milestone, we have gathered our core development leadership from around the globe to...
thats the trailer for SQ42 released at the end of CitCon.
Squadron 42 is the singleplayer game set in the same galaxy as StarCitizen. It fills the same niche as Starfield, though as you can see from this showcase it will most likely blow it out of the water in terms of depth, scope and immersion. A release date is not yet known, but with it being feature complete now we expect a release somwhere in late 24/early 25, fingers crossed.
i backed star citizen WAAAAYYYY back in the day. spent around $750 USD. kinda would have liked my money back π
its neat sure. but just a tad late and unfinished XD
Did you back on kickstarter or did you pledge for ships? As in do you have an account?
i backed it on their main page for a bunch first
then did a minor add-on when they came out with the kickstarter
just a sec i'll get my ship list lol
So my 'main' purchase was the Rear Admiral pack with the Constellation Andromeda and other nice things. then also
Also got the Andromeda to Aquila Upgrade for the Constellation and the DUR upgrade for the freelancer
This was all around 2012-2015ish
thats a pretty nice list tbf. If you are willing, there are plenty of grey market sites where you can sell your stuff to other players for reasonable prices, they are kinda safe as its quite a big market. CIG is not fond of grey market sites though and wont step in to help you out if things go awry.
But you can also just get back into the game, its much nicer now than 2015
as in you can actually play for hours on end
Yeah some friends and i were going to man the Conny and do deep space exploration runs
ten years ago
;D
π
Well if you hold one for one or two years more jumping into the verse might give you a really solid experience. Also, those ships dont lose value (a few even gained), so selling will always be an option if you want your money back π
(there is also the option to 'melt' the ships on the RSI side and exchange them for other ships, some newer ones for example. I feel thats quite a great offer from the devs^^)
