Welcome to the #how-to-report channel! Here you can find resources for reporting various issues relating to both the Terraria Discord server, and the game. Please keep in mind that this Discord server is run by community volunteers, and we do not work on Terraria. This means that the Terraria Discord Staff cannot add your suggestion to the game, fix bugs, help you with technical issues related to Terraria, or any other in-game related problems.

Reporting Users

For matters that require immediate moderator intervention, such as toxicity/bigotry, or inappropriate material being posted, please ping the <@&487692826658734080> role.

For matters that do not require immediate action, such as light spam or off-topic discussions, you can send a direct message to @cedar moat with as much of the following information as you can provide:

  • Discord Username and User ID of the rule-breaking user
  • Reason for reporting
  • The channel(s) it is occurring in
  • Additional information, such as screenshots or message links (found by right clicking (long-pressing on mobile) the message and pressing "Copy Message Link").

However, we highly recommend using our Mod Mail app to submit reports as you can simply right-click/long-press on a message to instantly report it to us. The App can only see messages that you report, and has no other access to your account. This method can also be used to report rule-breaking behavior that occurs in your direct messages.

Adding the App

  • Left-click/tap on @cedar moat
  • Hit the + Add App button then hit Authorize

Reporting Messages

  • Right-click/long-press the message you want to report
  • Navigate to the Apps menu option, then hit Report to Terraria Mod Mail

Additionally, if the user is violating Discord's Terms of Service, please report them to Discord's Trust and Safety team by either right-clicking/long-pressing their message and hitting "Report Message" or by following these instructions.

Misuse of Mod Mail or the Moderator ping will result in punishment.

Please take note that we do not take action on in-game reports! Always be sure to back up your world before playing with people you do not know. Additionally, do not instigate arguments/drama by bringing these external issues into our Discord server. Just block the user and move on if there are issues, and restore your world from your backup.

Reporting Server Issues

To report issues within the server, such as bots being down, channels containing incorrect information, or any other similar issues, send a direct message to @cedar moat with as much information as you can.

Please note that we do not work for Discord, so we cannot address issues relating to Discord itself, only our server.
