k, if you're post golem ranger use the red riding armour with the shroomite helmet is the best pre ml ranger armour (most people I've talked to use minions while they're ranger, so if you do use both the chest plate and the leggings, if you don't just use the leggings w the shroomite armour)

For the start you should explore and loot and take every chest with you (chests can only be destroyed when nothing is inside) and go into caves to find them. While you're searching chests, I'd also recommend you mine ore while you explore caves.

how to kill her in daytime?
I'd recommend getting Hallow armor, because the set bonus ( I think with the hood ) makes you be able to dodge attacks at a chance, and also get master ninja gear. I like using ranged weapons with chlorophite bullets so its easier. Also use the sanguine staff if you can use a summon. Get wings aswell and try killing her at nighttime without getting hit ( to get used to the attacks ). That's how I beat her.
