Try searching the main caves first, you can get some basic gear from here:

-Ignore tin/ copper, always mine Iron/lead, (silver to make the pickaxe, otherwise I'd ignore this teir including tungston because that variant of the tool is slow), gold/ plat if you want to make the armour/ pickaxe

-And get accessories such as Hermes boots, the cloud in a bottle, gems for hooks, topaz + demonite/ crimtane for the magiluminescence, etc

-After you've got some basic gear and a weapon (if you can't find one, just make an ore bow + arrows out of wood/ stone or buy them from the merchant), and then head over to the ice biome for more life crystals, flinx fur if you want the flinx staff + coat (highly recommended), ice blocks for frostburn arrows, etc (there are no boulder traps/ deadman chests there so it makes exploration easier) + general chest loot is better so it’s worth going there asap

-You will be prepped enough to fight a boss at this point but you could go to the jungle to get things like the boomstick, staff of regrowth for herb farms, blade of grass, etc

lol i love fallen stars,,, was fighting master mode eye of cthulhu and a star finished him off. he probably still had like. a quarter of his health left? maybe a bit less. the star definitely saved me some time!

Trying to beta the Pirates on HC Master. What class would you guys recommend to use? I’m a huge Flairon fan, but you can pick your favorite sword (Terra blade, horseman, seedler, influx waver) too, and I always keep vamp knives for quick hp regen, and then paladin hammer/possessed hatchet can’t hurt either

If ranger instead has a huge burst of damage instead of normal consistent damage, it could add a bit of edge to the fight as if you are using a weapon like the musket, it can only shoot once before needing to reload. However, it can shoot a high bursting damage to make up for that.

May seem tedious, but it can shoot like 150 damage per shot. You just need to be wise with the damage

the one on the right works fine, the npc will have it's home tile right under the torch... the middle one will not work because of the door, so they can't have a home tile there... the one on the left will work because now the door is far away to allow the tile under the torch to be a home tile for the npc
